BioNet at Thai DPACC 2024

Thailand Disease Prevention and Control Conference 2024 (Thai DPACC 2024), held from June 18-20, 2024 in Bangkok, brought together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to improve Thailand’s disease prevention policies. This effort aligns with international commitments and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The conference aimed to strengthen collaboration among national and international networks to tackle both communicable and non-communicable diseases, as well as occupational health risks and environmental factors. It also focused on sharing knowledge and raising public awareness to support community health initiatives.

A key symposium session on June 19 highlighted “Thailand’s Vaccine Capabilities: Strategies for Emerging Disease Preparedness” Mr. Vitoon Vonghangool, President of BioNet-Asia, discussed the critical role of vaccine development and distribution such as acellular pertussis vaccines and mRNA vaccines in fighting emerging diseases. He highlighted BioNet’s achievements and called for strong strategies to enhance Thailand’s ability to handle future health challenges.

The session also included participation from the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO), Global Biotech Products, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, and the National Vaccine Institute (NVI).

We sincerely thank all participants, speakers, and organizers for their valuable contributions to Thai DPACC 2024.
