BioNet facilitated vaccine development panel at the East-West Life Science Summit 2024

 

The East-West Life Science Summit was held on June 11-12, 2024, in Washington State USA, the annual event aims to boost visibility and collaboration in life sciences research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, connecting organizations, healthcare providers, and institutions across the Pacific Northwest. Bill Cadwallader, VP of Business Operations for North America, facilitated a panel of distinguished vaccine experts, with this year’s focus on Washington state life science organizations, the products they develop and the communities they serve.

Bill led the diverse panel of industry, academic and NGO vaccine experts, delving into the historical and current landscape of vaccine development and discussing strategies for expanding outreach to have a greater impact on the populations they serve. The panel covered a wide range of topics, highlighting the advancements in biotechnology and vaccine development in their specific organization.

Washington State, with its rich legacy of technology innovation, continues to be a leader in developing innovative vaccines and vaccine technology. Luminary organizations such as the University of Washington, Washington State University, Access to Advanced Health Institute (AAHI), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, PATH, Icosavax, Inventprise, HDT Bio, and Curevo are at the forefront of driving groundbreaking vaccine research and development and are all headquartered in Washington State. They employee thousands of scientists, investigators, and other health care professionals dedicated to advancing better healthcare throughout the world.
